O seu motor é único. Devido à utilização de um multiplicador de torque este carro pode circular a 110 km/h com o seu poderoso motor de 6.6 L a rodar a apenas 980 rpm. Tal indica que torna-se mais económico nesta rotação do que um motor a gasóleo comum a rodar a 2500 rpm. Actualmente, e desde há uns anos até esta parte, os motores a gasóleo sofreram uma grande revolução que, infelizmente, não foi das mais interessantes no que diz respeito à durabilidade e rendimento. Actualmente, é vulgar haver motores diesel de baixa capacidade com níveis de potência notávelmente desadequados. É certo que muitas modificações feitas nos motores mais recentes tiveram como principal objectivo a redução da quantidade de gases poluentes provenientes da combustão. É apenas essa a única vantagem que creio haver na nova era dos motores diesel. Se o objectivo é construir um automóvel rápido usam-se motores a gasolina...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;O grande automóvel de sempre (que ainda desconheço existir...) teria um motor diesel semelhante aos usados nos antigos modelos da Mercedes ou da Isuzu, provavelmente atmosférico. Um motor de grande capacidade e de grande rendimento, silencioso e potente. O carro que tivesse este motor também teria de ser adequado. Um carro com a concepção do Citroen CX, uma máquina para viajar até ao fim do mundo, em absoluto conforto.
